Happy New Year,
On behalf of the board I welcome you to the 2011 baseball season.  I’ve been involved in baseball since 1976. I’ve played and coached at all levels but pro, and have played in the Sacramento Men’s Baseball League since 2007. I manage the Sacramento Brewers in the 35+ division. It is quite an honor to be involved with an organization filled with great people who all love the game of baseball.  In my short time in the league and board, I’m in awe of the efforts people have put forth in the past and present to make the league what it is today. I look forward to maintaining the strength and integrity of the Sacramento Men’s Senior Baseball League.

The league will be having a Spring and Summer season again. Very few in the country do this. Our spring season is tentatively set to start February 20th. We will play 14, 9 inning games with playoffs to follow, ending mid to late May.  The price will stay the same, $226 per man, with a minimum of 14 players per team.  The last two spring and summer seasons have had 16 and 26 teams respectively, competing in 3 different divisions.

Wednesday, January 19th is a very important managers meeting at the complex starting at 7:30 sharp. At this time we will find out what teams are serious about the spring league as a $1000 deposit is due.

In an efficient manner we will discuss age division possibilities, manager's code of conduct, roster additions/subtractions, standing league rules, player pool usage, take deposits, game days and times, chain of command.

At this time I would like to get a head start by having you reply back with your managing intentions for the 2011 season, spring or summer. Please include two good phone numbers, alternative email or new email addresses.   Please forward or advise me of other potential managers as there are more players in town that want to play ball.  If you would like to be taken off our managers email list for future notices, let me know.

On behalf of the board, we look forward to leading Sacramento Men’s Senior League Baseball into another great year.
