Spring Managers Meeting is set for November 19th at the Field House

October 15, 2008 at 8pm  The requirements are the following:

1.  $1,000 deposit- guarantees your spot in the league and gives you priority in the division you choose.

2.  Based on the number of teams with deposits paid will essentially determine the size of the league, right now were looking at only 18 teams.

3.  January 20th- Final Managers Meeting-  All monies and required forms are due.

4.  Spring Season projected to start on Feb. 17th, "yes" that is a Tuesday.  We will be playing some Tuesday's and Thursday's.  No complaining allowed, sorry.

Other information to take note of:

1.  Spring will be Wood and Composite Bat ONLY!!!!  All Divisions

2.  Work Parties for Field Maintenance- Dec. 13th, Jan. 10th, Jan. 17th, Jan. 24th at 9am at McAuliffe Fields.

3.  No Managers Rebate for the Spring Season (Summer will be determined later)

4.  FYI- Summer Session to start July 6th.

We want to thank Rick Salmeri (Division Commissioner) for his hard work while on the Board and we wish him the very best.

This note is to personally thank each of you for your participation in and support of our 1st Annual SMSBL Golf Classic held at Turkey Creek on September 29, 2008.  On behalf of the Hall of Fame Club, Val, Tina, Jerry, Dave, Jim, John, Bob, Rob, Clay, Hal and myself….  THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!  Without your sign ups, your donations of money and prizes, your comments to pursue and your encouragement , this event would not have been the success it was.  Almost $5000 was raised at this event.  Many of you helped in many different ways and we thank each of you for what you did!  I would especially like to thank the wives who helped at the very last minute after golf was over!  Bless you!  We are looking forward to another event  or two in 2009 and hope you will continue to encourage and support us.
