Bob Wooden
2017 Inductee
Bob Wooden has been playing baseball since Little League. He played, lettered, and all-starred in Football and Track at Lincoln High School. He started coaching JV boys and girls baseball and softball at age 18, but now coaches rookie and T-ball with the grand kids. Bob has been playing hardball since his late 30’s primarily SMSBL and MSBL. He’s played on multiple SMSBL league championship teams and won the inaugural Father/Son SMSBL tournament. Bobby has played several games homering more than once, 4 grand-slam homeruns in his career (one a walk-off, and the first ever hit at the McAuilffe complex). His track career is evident in his ability to steal bases and is an excellent base runner. Bob holds numerous MSBL championship titles from W/D Best in the West (MVP), Vegas Kick Off Classic and Vegas Open. He is honored to have played on 8 MSBL World Series Champions with the Tribe, Sac Giants, Sac Royals, and Auburn Braves. Bob plans on continuing to play for a long time.
